Sandy's Story

Sandy has over 20 years experience tutoring children in preparation for their Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies. She has taught religious school in Conservative, Reform and Non-affiliated movements.  

She is a graduate of the Para-Rabbinic Training Program of Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati, Ohio.  She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Jewish Education and has studied cantillation, both at Hebrew College in Boston, MA.   

Sandy offers private tutoring services to families seeking an alternative to synagogue ceremonies.  She works with Jewish families, interfaith families, non-affiliated families and teaches children of all abilities, in preparation for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony. She also presides at these private, personalized events.  All ceremonies are specially tailored to each individual family and Sandy is happy to customize your ceremony in order to suit your particular situation.  Her goal is to create a meaningful service for your family and for all your guests. 

Sandy believes in reinforcing her students with positive Jewish values which help guide them on their pathway to adult life in today's modern and challenging world.
